It amazes me just how few companies truly "get" what is happening with consumers today, and the impact this shift therefore has on Sales and Marketing departments around the world as a result. This is why I believe Josh Harcus' book is so important, as he clearly shows how this relationship has changed, what companies can do to eliminate the silos, and what they need to do to stay ahead of the game going forward. Excellent, excellent read.
This is not your average run of the mill marketing book. I’ve read a few and they all seem to repeat the same no-brainer ideas that you could just as easily google and find a Buzzfeed article listing the top “10 Marketing Trends”. Josh speaks from years of experience spent innovating the digital marketing field and it shows in the text of this book. His insights are everything but ordinary and his novel take on marketing in modern day is refreshing. He emphasizes an often overlooked asset your sales team. Finally, a book that realizes the importance of making the two jive. You’re only as good as the person selling your brand. Might as well invest in both.
Josh does a great job balancing the fundamentals of sales with the emergence of technology to assist the process. Great read for any HubSpot user or sales professional.
